The Summer Edit

Summer 2022 is in full swing and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited about how many summer design trends fit with the Florida modern-vintage mixture I love. If you’re looking to bring the warmth of July to your interior spaces, grab yourself a sweet tea and check out the three current trends I’m vibing on right now.

Trend One: Jungle Greens

In my opinion, green is the IT color of 2022–after being stuck inside on lockdown, who doesn’t want a little natural comfort by bringing the outdoors indoors? For summer, try tropical and jungle greens to liven up your spaces.

Trend Two: bold patterns and colors

Colorful and bold patterns bring the warmth and playfulness of summertime inside. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colors and fabrics. Design should be fun and reflect your unique personality!

Trend Three: warm browns and terracotta

Brown is back, but not in a 1970s way. Warm, natural woods and rosy terracotta hues work well with other colors to create inviting spaces.

Dark warm browns, like Behr’s Baronial Brown pictured here, add stylish spice to a neutral living room

Bonus Trend: Combine all three together

Love more than one design trend or style? Don’t be afraid to mix it up like Opalhouse does here by combining bold walls and jungle greenery with a warm brown patterned console.

With the right design, you don’t have to leave home to feel like you’re on summer vacay. If you’re vibing on these trends like I am and want help creating a summer-inspired interior or exterior space, contact me for a free consultation. I’d love to help you curate a unique blend of these trends to suit your home and individual style.

Till next time,

Jayme
